Synopsis

Yuu Narukami relocates to the small town of Inaba to live with his uncle while his parents work abroad and enrolls at Yasogami High School. Soon after arriving, he befriends classmates Yousuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Yukiko Amagi. The town is unsettled by a series of unresolved killings, and the police have no clear leads. Yuu’s new friends tell him about a local superstition called the Midnight Channel—a television signal said to appear at midnight on rainy nights when someone watches alone. When Yuu checks the channel one such night, he sees a person who later becomes a murder victim and is pulled into the television himself. Inside, he finds a fog-shrouded realm inhabited by hostile beings called Shadows. Convinced this other world is linked to the killings, Yuu and his classmates form an investigation group to explore the connection and seek answers while confronting the dangers within the TV.
