Synopsis

As devastation draws near and appears inevitable, Makoto and his companions confront the reality of death and the hard choices it demands. Having been shaped by repeated meetings and farewells, they continue to struggle—not necessarily for humanity at large, but for their own chance at peace. Despite believing in tranquil days beyond the conflict, they are confronted by a boy who calmly asserts that destruction is humanity’s destined burden, delivering this revelation without visible feeling. As winter arrives, Makoto resolves to act so he can meet the spring that may lie beyond the crisis.
