Synopsis

A research team develops the DC Mini, a device capable of entering and observing another person’s dreams to examine desires, aspirations, and buried memories. Engineers Atsuko Chiba and Kosaku Tokita dedicate themselves to refining the technology with therapeutic aims: to probe patients’ inner lives and treat psychological conditions. The capability to access the most private regions of the mind raises grave ethical concerns, since misuse could inflict severe mental harm. After the device is stolen and those connected begin to behave oddly, Atsuko and Kosaku recognize a dangerous threat. They join forces with Officer Konakawa, a participant in the experimental treatment, and pursue the perpetrator through both the waking world and the landscape of dreams as they try to stop psychological attacks without causing further damage.
