Synopsis

A year after the Spirit of Dark Power was defeated a second time, My Melody and her companions return to Mariland. Peace is disrupted when Baku scatters dark musical notes across both Mariland and the human realm. Political upheaval follows: the king is removed and a new ruler must be chosen. A minister infected by a black note becomes a Huff-Huff, and after My Melody restores him, she is named a candidate for princess. Her challenge is to transform every black note into Twinkle Gems to place in her crown. Kuromi, determined to take the throne for herself, reacts angrily—then a mysterious woman appears with an alternative plan: Kuromi must gather Anger Gems to complete a crown that will make her the Dark Princess. Both rivals journey to the human world to collect the scattered black notes, each pursuing the crown that will grant control of Mariland. All the while, the imprisoned spirit is stirring once more with designs to cast both Earth and Mariland into everlasting shadow.
