Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Yuuki Hase summons the courage to approach his crush, Kaori Fujimiya, a quiet girl who keeps others at a distance and answers him with the same curt dismissal she gives everyone. Later, he discovers her eating lunch alone on the school roof and chooses to meet her there each day to learn more about her. As their daily encounters gradually coax Kaori to reveal her quieter side, she retreats again toward the end of the week. Yuuki then learns the reason: following a middle school accident, Kaori’s memories of non-family people are wiped and reset every Monday, preventing her from forming lasting friendships. Wanting to be more than a transient companion, Yuuki resolves to ask Kaori the identical question every Monday—inviting her to be friends—because he understands that she secretly longs for connection despite the barrier of her condition.
