Sarutobi Sasuke, once a noted operative under Sanada Daisuke who fought on the losing side, was reported to have taken his own life when cornered in a besieged stronghold. The tale instead proposes that he escaped and that 'Sarutobi' denotes not a single operative but an entire ninja lineage. Against this historical backdrop, the story traces the actions and identity of a child ninja connected to that clan, exploring survival, loyalty, and the hidden continuity of a covert martial tradition without revealing later plot developments.
