Synopsis

When monstrous Oni begin assaulting humanity, conventional defenses prove ineffective. Dr. Saotome, driven to find a solution, develops giant machines powered by enigmatic Getter Rays to counter the supernatural onslaught. The most formidable of these machines is Getter Robo, which requires coordination by three pilots: Ryoma Nagare, a skilled martial artist; Hayato Jin, a leader with a criminal past; and Benkei Musashibou, a devoted monk. Forced to work together despite their differences, the trio forms the Getter Team and operate the robot in a campaign to eliminate the Oni threat and safeguard what remains of human civilization.
