Synopsis

Tsunehiro Sasaki, a disengaged college dropout, faces collapse: failed university entrance, financial ruin from trading, crushing debt, and a terminal diagnosis that gives him only about two years to live. Attempting to flee his creditors, he is rescued from drowning by a cheerful band of amateur fishermen. Takaaki Tsutsujimori insists Tsunehiro join them at their workplace, a combined convenience store and fishing outfitter, while Hana Ayukawa seeks to share her passion for angling. Their warm, persistent efforts initially meet resistance, but Takaaki encourages Tsunehiro to embrace a new beginning. Accepting their support, he takes on work to address his debts and gradually opens to friendship and a hobby he never expected. Confronted with changing routines, growing bonds, and a narrowed future, Tsunehiro must summon the resolve to alter his path and make meaningful use of the time he has left.
