Synopsis

Chiyo Sakura, an upbeat high school student, harbors romantic feelings for the unobservant Umetarou Nozaki. After she attempts to declare her affection, Nozaki responds in an unexpected way that reveals he is a well-regarded shoujo manga creator working under the alias Sakiko Yumeno. This revelation leads to a chain of humorous misunderstandings that result in Chiyo joining Nozaki’s manga staff. As she assists him, she becomes part of an eccentric circle of classmates, including the outwardly brazen assistant Mikoto Mikoshiba and the admired school figure Yuu Kashima. The story follows Chiyo’s efforts to support Nozaki’s work while quietly hoping he will recognize her feelings, with much of the plot driven by lighthearted, comical interactions and the developing friendships among the group.
