Synopsis

In a future where fossil fuel reserves have been exhausted, humanity shifts to solar power, establishing three dominant coalitions: the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations, the Advanced European Union, and the Human Reform League. Each faction controls a solar generator that supplies virtually unlimited energy. Nations that once relied on fossil fuel revenues suffer economic collapse, sparking prolonged conflicts and internal unrest as powers vie for access to solar resources. Amid this turmoil, a clandestine armed group calling itself Celestial Being emerges, seeking to halt warfare through direct military intervention using highly advanced, enigmatic mobile suits called Gundams. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 centers on the Gundam Meisters—Setsuna F. Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism, and Tieria Erde—whose missions lead them into the violent struggles among the three superpowers as they pursue their objective of transforming the world.
