Synopsis
An investigation leads Takaya to Kyoto, tasked with examining the resurgence of the Ikko sect and the activities of Araki Murashige, a former member who abandoned the group. With assistance from his loyal vassal, Haruie, Takaya successfully tracks Araki, who is pursuing a 400-year-old mandala. This ancient Buddhist artifact is said to be crafted from the hair of deceased members of the Araki clan. Upon their encounter, Haruie recognizes Araki as Shintarou, a significant figure from her previous existence. Takaya then issues an order for Haruie to neutralize Araki, perceiving him as a threat. Haruie faces a difficult personal conflict regarding her ability to fulfill this command. Meanwhile, Takaya's path eventually converges with Naoe.
