Synopsis

On his way home, high school student Tatsumi discovers an unconscious man by a lakeside and realizes the stranger is actually a striking merman named Wakasa. With Wakasa forced out of his polluted habitat, Tatsumi offers his bathtub as a temporary haven. Hosting an energetic sea-being upends Tatsumi’s routine: Wakasa’s loud behavior and the frequent, unannounced appearances of his aquatic companions—Takasu, Mikuni, and Maki—create constant disruption. As Tatsumi tolerates their unfamiliar customs and playful mischief, he occasionally finds enjoyment in their naive curiosity about human life. He must, however, balance patience and responsibility if he hopes to maintain his everyday obligations while navigating this new, fragile friendship.
