Before the series begins, Machine Island serves as an isolated prison and battleground where the Garan, Kiba, and Aira armies vie for absolute control. The island’s abundant resources have enabled each faction to produce a seemingly limitless number of giant robots, fueling an ongoing conflict. When the world government discovers the island’s central reactor has become critically unstable and will detonate within 66 hours—threatening the planet with total annihilation—it dispatches the Death Caprice unit. That squad consists of mercenaries Ken Kaido and Ryo Magami, who are sent alongside the powerful robot Mazinkaiser to address the impending catastrophe. The narrative follows their mission to avert the reactor’s explosion amid the tense, militarized environment shaped by the three rival armies.
