Synopsis

Gorou Honda is a young boy whose passion for baseball is rooted in admiration for his father, Shigeharu. Gorou aspires to follow Shigeharu’s path and become a professional player, and his earnest devotion gives Shigeharu reason to continue despite personal sorrow after his wife's death and the frustration of being on the second-string team Blue Ocean. When an elbow injury forces Shigeharu off the roster, he sinks into despair until a casual remark from a childhood friend prompts him to reassess his direction. Choosing to remain in the game, Shigeharu transitions from his former role as a pitcher to taking up batting, redefining his contribution to the sport. Inspired by his father’s renewed commitment, Gorou dedicates himself to intense training and determination as he seeks to make his way through Japanese Little League.
