Synopsis

Having come through earlier personal conflicts, Daigo Shigeno remains devoted to baseball and serves as captain of Fuurin Private Academy Middle School’s team. He teams up with Mutsuko Sakura, a former elementary school classmate, with hopes of guiding the squad toward success. Unexpectedly reduced to six core players—Daigo, Mutsuko, Yayoi Sawa, Tao Sagara, Seira Kandori, and Hiromu Tanba—and composed largely of female members with limited competitive experience, the group faces difficulty earning the commitment and confidence of new recruits Akira Nishina, Anita Kabashima, and Chisato Fujii. Without an established coach, contending with unruly recruits, and operating with a small roster, Daigo’s determination is challenged as he works to solidify the team in time for their inaugural tournament appearance.
