Synopsis

After the Love Live! Competition ends, Kanon Shibuya plans to study overseas and parts ways with her friends in the school idol group Liella!. Their separation motivates both Kanon and the group to keep pursuing idol activities despite the distance. Kanon’s departure is unexpectedly postponed when Wien Margarete’s parents ask that she stay in Japan an additional year so Wien can learn from her. While Kanon remains in uncertain circumstances, Wien hesitates to join Liella! and instead chooses to form her own ensemble. To support Wien’s resolve, Kanon becomes part of the newly formed unit and brings in Tomari Onitsuka, the sister of a former group member. The new unit works to move past Wien’s contentious history even as Liella! copes with the challenge of losing their central performer and adjusting to the change.
