Synopsis

At the Time Photo Studio, partners Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi take on unusual assignments that require them to step into photographs and thus revisit past moments. Their complementary talents allow them to intervene in events trapped in images. One assignment centers on Liu Siwen, who longs to wed his beloved Ou Yang, but faces the obstacle of her father, a martial-arts master who distrusts outsiders and insists that any suitor prove himself by defeating him in a fair duel. After repeated unsuccessful attempts due to his limited fighting ability, Liu Siwen turns to Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi for assistance. The partners devise a tactical scheme intended to satisfy the father's condition, yet executing that scheme proves more complicated than anticipated, as theory and practice diverge while they attempt to navigate honor, skill, and the consequences of altering the past.
