Synopsis

Four months prior to the Battle of Astarte, Count von Lohengramm—then known as Reinhard von Müsel—holds the rank of the Empire's youngest admiral and is scorned by colleagues who reduce him to the Kaiser's concubine’s brother. Assigned to Iserlohn Fortress with an expeditionary force, he receives a directive from the politically driven Fleet Admiral Gregor von Mückenberger to intercept an Alliance formation in an adjacent starzone. Aware that the order likely serves as a covert attempt to eliminate him, Reinhard nonetheless commands his exhausted crews to engage the Alliance amid the dense atmosphere of the gas giant Legnica. Unbeknownst to him, this confrontation will initiate his first of many consequential encounters with the figure later known as the Hero of El Facil.
