Synopsis

In 2048, Dr. Deniz Skinner, hailed as a scientific prodigy second only to Einstein, introduced Hapna, an inexpensive pain reliever reported to have no adverse effects. The medication spread rapidly and transformed public life, while Skinner quietly disappeared a year after Hapna’s release. By 2052 he returns with a devastating disclosure: Hapna was engineered to become a fatal toxin that will kill everyone who took it. He asserts there is an antidote but insists it will be surrendered only if he is located and physically brought to him within thirty days. Against that ticking deadline, a group known as Lazarus—an assortment of unconventional and socially marginalized individuals—coerces Axel Gilberto, a rebellious young inmate serving an 888-year sentence in a maximum-security facility, into joining their mission. Lacking viable escape options and confronting the extinction-level threat, Lazarus embarks on a forced search to track down Skinner before time runs out.
