Synopsis

Momona, a typical junior-high girl from Jewel Land, attends her cousin’s wedding and initially feels envious of the bride, Lady Diana, because Diana is marrying the cousin Momona had a mild crush on. Observing their relationship changes Momona’s feelings, and she accepts Diana as her cousin’s partner. Before she can formally meet Diana, Momona is suddenly transported to a snowy region of Jewel Land where the current ruler, Lady Jewel, addresses the Petit Ladies—selected candidates who may succeed as the next Lady Jewel. There Momona encounters Ruby, a white rabbit who becomes her partner and mentor and will guide her through the challenges required to claim the title. The candidate who completes the most tasks will be named the next Lady Jewel. Momona’s main rival is Lillian, another contestant determined to win so she can appoint her brother, Cayenne, as her King. As the contest unfolds, Momona begins to develop feelings for Cayenne; Cayenne appears to feel similarly, while Lillian opposes Momona growing close to him. The story follows their competition, the evolving relationships among Momona, Lillian, and Cayenne, and whether the candidates will resolve their conflicts and how the final selection of Lady Jewel will affect their bonds.
