Synopsis

Kazuma Satou's ordinary day at the Adventurer's Guild is disrupted when a surprised admirer named Ran appears. Wanting to seem composed and capable, Kazuma tries to act nonchalant, but a receptionist interrupts with a mission: eliminate a massive golem guarding ancient ruins. He agrees — partly to maintain Ran's favorable view — and his group heads into the ruins. After they successfully complete the task and return, Kazuma continues to boast in front of Ran. The receptionist then offers another assignment that sends them back to the same ruins. Drawn by the chance for loot and eager to sustain his image, Kazuma persuades his comrades to join the renewed venture, only to face greater challenges than before. The story preserves a mix of embarrassment, bravado, and escalating danger as Kazuma balances pride, attraction, and the risks of repeated expeditions into ominous ruins.
