Synopsis

Kino awakens and notices from afar that a massive tower in Tower Country still stands. This towering structure soars toward the sky, appearing almost limitless and dreamlike, yet undeniably real. Curious, Kino and Hermes, the talking motorcycle companion, travel to the site to examine the edifice up close. Although the tower already reaches extraordinary heights, the local inhabitants persist in constructing it. Kino and Hermes question townspeople about the tower’s origin and purpose but do not find conclusive answers. During their stay they observe the tower and the community, seeking to grasp why the villagers continue such an immense, ongoing undertaking. Their visit embodies a measured, observant approach to learning from an unfamiliar place and its peculiar practices.
