Synopsis

Sakon Tachibana, a dark-haired, attractive puppeteer and the sole heir of Saemon Tachibana—a nationally recognized master of Bunraku—works alongside Ukon, his favorite puppet and closest companion. Ukon is a childlike doll crafted during the early Meiji period by the noted dollmaker Unosuke. As puppeteer and puppet, they repeatedly come upon homicide cases and engage in uncovering the circumstances behind those deaths, navigating a world shaped by traditional puppet artistry and the mysteries they encounter.
