Synopsis

Middle school student Kana Nakamachi faces upheaval after her grandmother dies and she has nowhere to stay because of her age. She eventually finds refuge by joining the Fuhshin Gazette, a neighborhood newspaper delivery shop that offers lodging in exchange for work. The shop’s staff is a collection of distinct personalities: Yume Kitaoka, who loves sweets, and her partner Yuuki Minami; the thrifty Hinata Azuma; the alcohol-prone Haruka Nishida; and Saki Amano, who is young but surprisingly responsible. Kana’s days at the Gazette involve long shifts, lively dogs guarding mailboxes, and puzzling delivery routes. A budding rivalry with Mika Kujiin from a rival shop adds further challenges, keeping Kana occupied as she adjusts to her new life and responsibilities.
