Synopsis

Mary Saotome is bold, insolent, and fiercely intelligent. After transferring into Hyakkaou Private Academy—a school where social standing is determined by success in games of chance—she quickly claims a notable victory over a fellow student, drawing the interest of the cunning student council. In this institution the lowest-ranked students are those with the poorest gambling results, and Tsuzura Hanatemari faces a dire future at the bottom of that system. Motivated by her bond with Tsuzura, Mary commits herself to climb the hierarchy and accumulate enough winnings to rescue her friend from that punitive order. Driven by determination and a refusal to accept defeat, she pushes past and shames even powerful rivals, though certain members of the student council appear to have their own designs on her.
