Synopsis

In Jewel Land, magical creatures called Jewelpets coexist with Witches and study spellcraft at a school that harnesses power through their Jewel Eyes. Ruby, a white Japanese Hare whose magic is unreliable, is tasked with finding a human partner. An attempt to use a magician's card misdirects her to the Human World, where she encounters Akari Sakura on a beach while Akari is on her way to school. Language barriers initially prevent communication until Ruby uses a special candy that enables mutual understanding. Ruby learns about Akari’s situation, apologizes for the confusion, and selects Akari as her partner by placing a Jewel Charm on her hand. Together they enter the Jewel Star Grand Prix, a contest offering the fulfillment of any desire as its prize, and face the challenge of whether Akari can become the next Jewel Star and have her wish realized, or whether their efforts will lead to failure.
