Set in the feudal period, Inuyasha, Kagome Higurashi, and their companions pursue scattered fragments of the Shikon Jewel when they attract the attention of Menoumaru Hyouga, a demon awakened by one of the shards. Menoumaru seeks the Tessaiga, a treasured sword tied to Inuyasha’s lineage, believing it will restore his clan’s legacy after a violent clash between their fathers. Discovering that only the sword’s current master can wield it, Menoumaru resorts to abducting Kagome to coerce Inuyasha into unleashing the sealed abilities linked to the Hyouga family. With loyal friends at their side, Inuyasha and Kagome confront Menoumaru, unaware that his dark aims and growing menace threaten not just their era but the distant future as well.
