Synopsis

Hourai is an enigmatic isle that resurfaces for a brief span every fifty years. Rumors link the island to eternal youth or ominous misfortune. After rescuing a half-demon child named Ai from a monstrous pursuer, Inuyasha and his companions learn she escaped from Hourai and asks them to free friends held captive there. Ai recognizes Inuyasha and reveals that her captured companions are kept by four cruel demons who call themselves the Four War Gods—an adversary Inuyasha recalls. Upon arrival at Hourai, the group finds only a few orphaned children remaining, slated to be sacrificed to empower the Four War Gods. The captives bear a magical brand that bars any attempt to flee. Overcoming the Four War Gods appears to be the only way to break the island’s plight, but their overwhelming strength will demand bold, coordinated action from Inuyasha’s team.
