Synopsis

Sesshōmaru resents that their father left the powerful offensive sword to his half-demon brother, Inuyasha, while he received the healing blade Tenseiga. He becomes increasingly alienated upon discovering that a destructive technique he perfected was intended to be transferred to the other weapon, reinforcing his sense of being cast aside for someone he regards as inferior. Exploiting this bitterness, Inuyasha's nemesis Naraku offers Sesshōmaru a way to seize Tessaiga's abilities for himself. The brothers are driven into conflict, their duel shaped by Naraku's manipulation and by Sesshōmaru's desire for recognition. The confrontation will determine whether Inuyasha can prevent Naraku's plot and gain his brother's respect or whether he will fall to Sesshōmaru's blade.
