Synopsis

Inari Fushimi, an awkward and introverted middle-school student, lives a modest life marked by clumsiness but genuine kindness. One day while cutting through the local shrine, she rescues a small fox pup from the river. In gratitude, the shrine deity Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami grants Inari a shard of divine ability: she can assume another person's form by invoking a special phrase. This unexpected gift opens new possibilities and challenges, as Inari navigates her developing affection for Kouji Tanbabashi, deepens an earnest relationship with the fox spirit Kon and the goddess Uka, and encounters further elements of the supernatural. Through these experiences she learns about the nature of love, identity, and courage without compromising her gentle disposition.
