Synopsis

Liam's previous life ended with moral integrity but personal ruin—buried in debt and betrayed by his spouse. He returns to existence as a member of the dynasty that governs a sprawling interstellar empire, determined to reverse his past fate by embracing self-interest and dominance. Convinced that society splits into the oppressed and those who dominate them, he plans to seize what he wants and abandon altruism. His intention to rule as a harsh, self-centered sovereign, however, repeatedly fails to materialize: choices he makes with the aim of consolidating power instead yield stability, welfare, and flourishing across the realms he oversees.
