Synopsis

Living with a collapsed lung since childhood, Lee Myeongyi endures heavy breathing episodes, persistent coughing, and exemptions from PE and military duty, which make him a target of classmates' curiosity and hostility and leave him feeling excluded. Amid that isolation, class president Han Seonho consistently treats Myeongyi with empathy and warmth, and Myeongyi develops his first romantic feelings for him. Nine years later, Myeongyi returns to a high school reunion solely to see Seonho again, only to have his fragile hope about Seonho's feelings undermined when he notices a conspicuous gold band and hears probing questions from former classmates. Stepping outside to smoke despite his fragile lungs, Myeongyi is followed by Seonho, and their encounter unexpectedly evolves into a clandestine romantic relationship.
