Synopsis

Lee Myeongyi has long endured life with a collapsed lung, coping with conspicuous episodes of heavy breathing, prolonged coughing, and exemptions from gym and military duty. Those symptoms isolate him at school, drawing intrusive attention and leaving him feeling alienated. Among his classmates, Han Seonho, the class president, consistently responds with empathy and calm, his composed manner and appearance becoming the focus of Myeongyi’s first romantic feelings. Nearly a decade later, Myeongyi returns to a high school reunion motivated by the sole desire to encounter Seonho again. Any fragile expectation that Seonho might reciprocate fades when Myeongyi notices a gold band on Seonho’s left hand and faces probing questions from former classmates. Stepping outside to smoke despite the risk to his lungs, Myeongyi is surprised when Seonho follows him; that unexpected encounter initiates a secretive romantic relationship between them.
