Hinako Sakuragi, a young woman from rural Japan, experiences significant social anxiety, causing her to become rigid when interacting with unfamiliar individuals. Inspired by a theatrical performance she once witnessed, Hinako decides to pursue acting as a means to conquer her shyness. She relocates to Tokyo, taking residence at Hitotose Manor while enrolling at Fujiyama High School, with the intention of joining its highly regarded theater club. However, upon arrival, Hinako discovers that the school's theater club is currently inactive. Faced with this unexpected setback, Chiaki Hagino, the proprietor of Hitotose Manor, suggests that Hinako establish her own acting ensemble, recruiting fellow residents as members.
