Germany finds itself allied only with North Italy—an enfeebled descendant of Ancient Rome who is infatuated with pasta—and Japan, a dependable but eccentric partner with peculiar fixations. Tasked with keeping this awkward coalition functional, Germany grapples with the mismatch. Meanwhile, the Allied nations, though united in opposing the Axis, struggle to overcome long-standing divisions and fail to coordinate as a seamless force.
