Synopsis

Three months after a hero toppled the Demon King, humans celebrate while the demon realm must choose a new ruler through a contested tournament. Vamirio, a fierce and influential member of the Four Heavenly Kings, oversees the contest but is deeply suspicious of one contender: Helck, a celebrated human warrior who professes disdain for his own species. Though Vamirio wants him removed, Helck’s extraordinary power and widespread support make that difficult. As competitors vie for dominance, towns begin to report missing humans, and Vamirio becomes increasingly determined to determine Helck’s true allegiance. She devises a careful scheme to engineer his defeat, hoping that exposing his intentions before the demon world faces greater peril will reveal where his loyalties lie.
