Synopsis
After creating the world, God delegates the task of designing its animals to a specialized department called the Heaven's Design Team. Shimoda, a recently recruited angel, takes on the role of liaison between the deity and the creative staff. In his new position he observes colleagues brainstorm and develop an array of creatures—ranging from long-necked grazers and slithering reptiles to feathered flyers and insectivores—each conceived to meet divine specifications. The series follows his experiences as he witnesses the imaginative, methodical, and sometimes surprising processes behind the origin of many distinct life forms.
