Synopsis

Ichiro Hanada is an energetic young child living with his parents, sister, and grandfather in a quiet rural town. Constantly causing mischief—teasing his sister and provoking others—he draws frequent scolding from his mother and occasional complaints from neighbors about his rowdy behavior. After executing an especially reckless prank, Ichiro dashes into the street to evade his mother, seizes a bicycle, and takes a perilous route that ends with him struck by a truck. He survives but requires stitches to the back of his head and temporarily loses hair in the injured area. Following this brush with death, Ichiro unexpectedly acquires the ability to perceive and converse with ghosts. As the sole person able to communicate with these recently deceased spirits, he becomes a focal point for those seeking assistance in fulfilling final desires before moving on. Each encounter with a ghost presents a distinct challenge and imparts a lesson, and through these experiences the curious boy gradually matures and gains understanding.
