Synopsis

Set in the Correct Century, two thousand years after a catastrophic war left the planet largely uninhabitable, humanity survives mostly on the Moon while Earth slowly recovers. Representatives from the lunar community, known as the Moonrace, periodically assess whether Earth can be reinhabited. Loran Cehack, a young Lunar operative, is dispatched to Earth with two companions for reconnaissance and spends about a year under the employ of the Heim family, an aristocratic household whose society resembles a Victorian-era culture. Local tradition includes a coming-of-age ritual centered on a monumental stone figure called the White Doll. When the Moonrace suddenly mounts an armed landing to claim Earth, the White Doll is shattered and conceals a powerful mobile suit, the Turn A Gundam, with Loran at its controls. The emergence of the suit creates a dangerous impasse between lunar and terrestrial forces. Loran, together with individuals from both communities, faces the urgent task of maintaining fragile peace and preventing a repeat of the ancient, devastating conflict.
