Synopsis

Centuries after humanity's conflict with enigmatic Space Monsters began, the origins of that war have been lost and records are scarce. Despite the fading history, humanity continues to resist, depending on a cadre of exceptional pilots known as the "Topless." These pilots possess rare abilities enabling them to operate the Buster Machines, humanity's remaining defense against the Space Monsters. Nono, a young woman raised in an isolated Martian settlement, has long been inspired by stories of a famed pilot called "Nono-Riri" and dreams of escaping her modest circumstances to emulate her hero. Unaware of the perils ahead, she is resolute in pursuing that ambition. When fortune is against her, Nono encounters Lal'C Melk Mark, a solitary Topless pilot, and resolves to dedicate her future to following him, regardless of the sacrifices required.
