Synopsis

Shouzou Saitou and his wife Ine have spent nearly sixty years together, living modestly and caring for an apple orchard while surrounded by their affectionate relatives. A tree they planted on their wedding day was broken by a typhoon, yet later bears a single golden apple. After they bring the fruit home and eat it, they wake the next morning transformed into younger versions of themselves. In these renewed yet familiar bodies, they explore aspects of life they never experienced before—taking part in contemporary activities like a sports festival and playing video games—while revisiting the tenderness of their early romance. Their revived relationship also prompts younger family members to reflect on and rekindle their own feelings.
