Synopsis

Given, a four-member band led by Ritsuka Uenoyama, Mafuyu Satou, Haruki Nakayama, and Akihiko Kaji, has advanced to the final round of the Countdown-fes Amateur Contest, where their live performance will be evaluated. Excited yet anxious, they confront the challenge of preparing with only a single original piece. Motivated to expand his musical skills and craft songs that convey real feeling, Mafuyu seeks to deepen his understanding of music. Unexpectedly, Ugetsu Murata—whose intermittent romantic history with Akihiko remains unresolved—offers guidance. Ugetsu has struggled to move beyond Akihiko, while Akihiko himself wrestles with lingering attachments to the past and an uncertain commitment to what lies ahead. As the competition approaches, Haruki experiences rare doubts about his role within the group and the trust he has placed in Akihiko. The story examines how relationships and ambitions shift under pressure, questioning whether emotional bonds can be rebuilt after loss or whether only remorse will remain.
