Synopsis

Senshadou is a competitive discipline that stages elimination matches using tanks from the World War II era. Predominantly practiced by women and girls, it is presented as a cultural art that elevates female presence and is intended to attract male attention. Over time senshadou spreads globally, culminating in the establishment of an international championship slated to take place in Japan. Miho Nishizumi descends from a renowned line of senshadou practitioners but withdrew from the activity after a traumatic event, creating a rift with her family and abandoning the tradition. Seeking distance, she enrolls at Ooarai Girls Academy, which had discontinued its senshadou program. The announcement of the forthcoming world tournament prompts the school to reinstate its tankery club, and Miho finds herself compelled to participate. Supported by new teammates, she confronts her history, resumes leadership of a tank crew to prevent the school's closure, and aims to demonstrate to her family that the Nishizumi approach to senshadou encompasses more than simply winning.
