Synopsis

A large UFO falls onto farmland near Nagaoka, interrupting Tsubasa Misudachi's routine and revealing a gentle extraterrestrial. The Gatchaman, guardians of Tachikawa City, oversee the incident, and founder J.J. Robinson entrusts Tsubasa with an advanced notebook called a NOTE, marking Tsubasa's abrupt induction into their ranks. Guided by fellow member Hajime Ichinose, Tsubasa gradually adapts to the responsibilities of defending justice. Concurrently, the CROWDS system—technology that lets individuals project their consciousness into tangible forms—gains widespread use and political backing from Prime Minister Sugayama. A faction known as VAPE, however, employs distinctive red CROWDS to cause destruction, turning public sentiment against the technology. The Gatchaman, with Tsubasa newly among them, must stop VAPE's violent tactics before the situation escalates further.
