Synopsis

Russell City, outwardly affluent, is beset by manifestations of negative emotions known as Horrors that bring disorder and violence. The Makai Order stands as the organized resistance against these supernatural threats, operating through covert fronts like small businesses and fielding trained Makai Knights alongside magical Makai Alchemists. Among their ranks, the title of Golden Knight is held by a formidable man called Sword, who wields the Garo armor and blade. He carries knowledge of an emerging conspiracy endangering the Makai Order, traced only to the cryptic term “El Dorado.” During a confrontation with a Horror, Sword meets Sophie Hennis, a teenager whose brother vanished years earlier under circumstances tied to the same phrase. Bound by this shared lead, Sword and Sophie form an uneasy partnership to pursue the truth behind El Dorado and the disappearance that haunts her family.
