Synopsis

Pursuing a fugitive alchemist endowed with unusual abilities, Edward and Alphonse Elric arrive in the impoverished Milos valley, where an oppressed community struggles to reclaim land seized by the militaristic nation of Creta. At the center of the conflict is Julia Crichton, a determined young woman who wants the Milos to restore their strength and return to peaceful nationhood. After forming a bond with Julia, the brothers become entangled in an emerging resistance movement that plans to employ the very artifact Edward and Alphonse have been hunting: the Philosopher’s Stone. Haunted by their prior encounters with that object, they hesitate to lend support. As they uncover Creta’s motives and murky past, the Elrics are pulled into the confrontation between the Milos insurgents seeking freedom and the Cretan military pursuing absolute control.
