Synopsis

After a disorienting debut on the international circuit, Haruka is overwhelmed by the definitive performance of champion Albert and begins to question both his technique and what the sport means to him. Haunted by that encounter, he drifts into a deep personal crisis, feeling as if he is sinking beneath a clouded surface. Compelled by a persistent restlessness, Haruka subjects himself to an exacting, uncompromising training schedule, pushing past physical and mental boundaries he understands are perilous. His companions cannot intervene; they can only stand by and trust in his resolve. Recurrent images of Albert’s controlled, detached style replay in Haruka’s thoughts, driving a single determination: to increase his speed, to grow stronger, and to face Albert in competition once more. As Haruka summons his stroke to pierce the dense, indifferent water, his friends gather nearer to witness the outcome. The story follows his struggle and asks what view of the future will emerge when this trial concludes.
