Synopsis

Following their Stagiaire placements, the students of Polar Star Dormitory travel to a hot springs inn intending to unwind, but they are called upon to manage the inn’s kitchen after the regular staff are incapacitated. Unknown to them, the guests they serve are not ordinary visitors. Some time later, Souma Yukihira’s appetite for challenging opponents is renewed when he, Megumi Tadokoro, and the other quarter-finalists from the Autumn Election receive invitations to the annual Autumn Leaves Viewing. The eight Tootsuki first-years gain a rare chance to share tea with the Elite Ten Council, including Erina Nakiri in the Tenth Seat, who joins her fellow freshmen at the gathering. Although presented as a cordial meeting between nine promising underclassmen and nine respected upperclassmen, Director Senzaemon Nakiri recognizes the encounter as a preliminary confrontation between the current elite and those who may one day replace them.
