Synopsis

When witches reach fifteen they are expected to leave home and pursue independent study. Makoto Kowata follows this custom, departing her family in Yokohama to train in witchcraft. Accompanied by Chito, her black cat familiar, she travels to Aomori, a region valued by witches for its natural surroundings and connection to magic. Makoto settles with her second cousins, Kei Kuramoto and his younger sister Chinatsu, and begins balancing the appearance of ordinary teenage life with the distinct routines of a young witch. Her daily experience blends quiet domestic moments and unusual encounters—from meeting an anthropomorphic dog who reads fortunes to receiving unconventional instruction from her older sister Akane—creating a calm, whimsical rhythm of learning and small, magical incidents shared with friends and relatives.
