Synopsis

As the Fifth Holy Grail War draws to a close, Saber carries out the same final act she performed in the previous conflict in an effort to halt the repeating cycle of violence. The decisive strike exhausts her remaining magical energy, causing her form to begin fading away. In those last moments she offers a tearful goodbye, but Rin Tohsaka reaches out and touches her before she fully disappears. This intervention alters the course of events, opening the possibility of a different future and a fresh start.
